In addition to film, CSI utilizes a state-of-the-art real-time x-ray system for inspection of packaged products, electronics, castings, welds, etc. This system produces high-resolution images which are acquired in seconds. Then, the images are instantly displayed on a high-definition work station screen.
The Comet system used by CSI operators with a conventional x-ray source (320 Kv), but without the additional costs of film, chemicals or time for developing. Waiting for results are inherent with conventional film radiography. By using a digital processor (or flat panel) and conveyer, this system will allow a large number of parts to be processed in a short period of time. The results can easily be transferred via email or conveniently stored digitally on our server, compact disk or flash drive.
